Michael Matheson, MSP for Falkirk West visited Children’s Hospice Association Scotland’s (CHAS) exhibition stand in the Scottish Parliament recently when he took time out to show support for the charity in its 21st year.

Michael spoke to CHAS staff and heard about the provision of the only children’s hospice services for children, young people and their families, throughout Scotland.

Michael Matheson MSP said, “CHAS provide a much needed service in Scotland. They do a fantastic job for both the children and their families at the time of their greatest need. I was more than happy to visit their stand and show my support for the work that they do”

Maria McGill, CHAS Chief Executive said, “Engaging MSPs in our work has never been as important as in this, our 21st year. Every region in Scotland has families who have used CHAS services, so we are speaking to MSPs and personally inviting them to visit the two CHAS hospices. We know from experience that this enables MSPs to gain a greater understanding of our work, which ultimately benefits families living in their constituencies who care for a child with a life-shortening condition.”
